Members of Staff of Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) were Thursday trained in the use of fire extinguishers by officials of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS)
The exercise, which was conducted on the premises of the company, involved about 100 people.
Participants were given extensive, hands-on training on how to use Dry Chemical Powder and Carbon dioxide extinguishers to fight fires.
The Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager of GCGL, Mrs Peace Gadegbe, told Graphic Online that the exercise formed part of measures taken by the company to prevent fire outbreaks.
She described the exercise as fruitful, saying it had helped many members of staff learn how to effectively use extinguishers.

A GNFS Station Officer, Mr Nathaniel Armah, said he was impressed by the high level of enthusiasm exhibited by all participants.
