Ghana Police disclose whereabouts of Bongo Ideas

In response to circulating social media reports, the the Ministry of National Security and the Ghana Police Service have issued separate statements clarifying that Albert Nat Hyde, also known as BongoIdeas, has not been arrested.

Contrary to online speculation, the police said Hyde is safe and currently at home.

The clarification comes amidst a flurry of online reports suggesting Hyde has been arrested, causing concern among his followers on social media.

Addressing the speculation, by reaching out to a family member, the police said the family member confirmed Hyde's whereabouts.

The Ghana Police Service in a statement on Facebook stressed the importance of verifying information before spreading it, particularly on social media platforms where misinformation can quickly gain traction. They urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate updates on such matters.

In a related development, the Ministry of National Security has also clarified that no such arrest has been made by its personnel or any affiliated agencies.

The Ministry urged the public to disregard these speculations and assured that no action has been taken against Mr. Hyde by the authorities.

Bongo Ideas, a prominent figure in the Ghanaian digital space known for his controversial content and social commentary, has not commented publicly on the incident or the circulating rumours.
