She educated the pupils/ the students, as well as the teachers, on the Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP), types of emergencies in the EPP, areas and people involved or affected, what to do during an emergency and safe havens, all in the event of spillage from the Akosombo and Kpong Dams.
Collaboration
The Asuogyaman District Chief Executive, Godwin Bobobee, who received the items on behalf of the education directorate, lauded VRA for all its efforts in collaborating with the assembly in promoting quality education of the pupils/ students in its operational areas, especially Asuogyaman.
He disclosed that the assembly was constructing a number of six-unit classroom blocks for some of the basic schools in the district and entreated head teachers and teachers of all the schools in the district to manage the schools well as the assembly and VRA continued to do the needful in supporting quality education delivery.
The District Director for Education, Augustina Adjoa Owusu, who received the items from the DCE, was very grateful to both VRA and the assembly for their numerous supports in education in the district, adding that the presentation of the exercise books was a big relief to both the teachers and the learners, as most often the learners came to school without exercise books.
