Velo West Africa Group has celebrated the 10th anniversary of ITALKOL in Ghana, marking a decade of providing innovative construction and finishing solutions to the Ghanaian market.
ITALKOL was introduced in 2016 to provide high-performance construction materials tailored to African conditions while maintaining European manufacturing standards.
The brand has since become known for tiling systems, waterproofing solutions, skimming products, industrial flooring systems, and decorative wall finishes.
Speaking during the anniversary, Managing Director of Velo West Africa Group, Enkelejda Xhebexhiu, said the company’s growth had been driven by a commitment to quality, technical support, and industry training.
She noted that sustainable construction required not only quality products but also technical expertise, skilled workmanship, and proper application practices.
Over the years, Velo West Africa Group has worked closely with contractors, engineers, architects, artisans, and clients across Ghana, providing product support, professional training, live demonstrations, and on-site technical guidance aimed at improving construction standards.
In 2021, the company expanded its portfolio with the introduction of PIXEL PAINTS, a premium coatings brand offering architectural paints, decorative finishes, and waterproofing solutions specifically formulated for tropical environments.
As part of its continued growth strategy, Velo West Africa Group also announced the upcoming introduction of Siniat Lightweight Construction Solutions in Ghana, one of Europe’s leading brands, presented during the anniversary event by Etex Building Performance, Export and Business Development Manager, Benjamin Naas.
According to the company, the partnership with Siniat, part of the Etex Group, is the result of extensive collaboration and market experience gained over the past decade.
The two organisations have developed a business model designed to create strong synergies and deliver greater value to customers in Ghana’s rapidly growing dry construction sector.
The initiative will combine European technology, technical expertise, and training capabilities with Velo West Africa Group’s deep understanding of the local market, extensive distribution network, and strong customer support services.
The partnership is expected to meet the growing demand for modern, efficient, and sustainable construction solutions while contributing significantly to the growth and development of Ghana’s dry construction sector.
Ms Xhebexhiu expressed appreciation to clients, partners, contractors, engineers, architects, artisans, and employees who have supported the company’s journey over the past decade.
She said the anniversary not only celebrates a decade of achievements but also marks the beginning of a new chapter centred on innovation, capacity building, and the introduction of advanced construction solutions aimed at shaping the future of Ghana’s construction industry.
