They reportedly stood up during proceedings and shouted, "drop that chamber, drop that chamber."

That action attracted security personnel at Parliament House who then approached the two men and arrested them.

The proposed new chamber is to house facilities including diplomatic offices, a library, a museum, a church, a mosque, eateries, press conference rooms, galleries, a car park, an upper gallery garden, a post office and other facilities.

The decision by the Parliamentary Service Board (PSB) to construct a new chamber has attracted a public outcry with many speaking against it.

This has culminated in a social media campaign dubbed: #DropThatChamber.

‘You can beat me, you can kill me but you will not stop me from speaking, I will say what have to be heard. I will speak truth to Ghana. Nobody will restrain me from speaking truth to Ghana. I will say what I have to say. #DropThatChamber” Ernesto Yeboah shouted whilst he was being escorted by security officers at Parliament.

The two have since been taken to the Parliament police station awaiting transfer to the Ministeries Police Station.
