NAB congratulates Omane-Antwi, Smile Dzisi

The board, management and staff of the National Accreditation Board (NAB) have congratulated Professor Kwame Boasiako Omane-Antwi and Professor Smile Dzisi on their recent recognitions and elevations.

Prof. Omane-Antwi was decorated with the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award at the fourth edition of the recently held Ghana Financial Innovation Awards 2018.


A statement signed by the acting Executive Secretary of the NAB, Dr Kingsly Nyarko, said the honour was in recognition of his exceptional service in business and public service.

The award, it said, was also to acknowledge his extraordinary innovation, untiring efforts and contribution to the financial sector as amply showcased during his tenure as head of professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), the Institute of Directors, Ghana and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Ghana.

“ The NAB also applauds Prof. Dzisi on her elevation to the Chairperson of the Conference of Rectors/Vice Chancellors of Polytechnics and Technical Universities, as well as her appointment as the Vice Chairperson (Western Region) of the Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics at its recently held 52nd meeting in Nairobi.

“With this appointment, she would be in charge of the association’s western region, comprising Cameroun, Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia and Sierra Leone. Prof. Dzisi, who made history as the first female Rector in the annals of Ghana’s history, is the current Vice Chancellor of the Koforidua Technical University,” it said.

It said the NAB, of which both are members, recognised the remarkable accomplishments of Prof. Omane-Antwi and Prof. Dzisi in recognition of their amazing efforts and commitment to encouraging and strengthening excellence in higher education.
