Ten agribusinesses have been selected to receive a total of $100,000 in seed funding under the 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro, an initiative of the Kosmos Innovation Centre (KIC) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
The businesses emerged from 15 finalists at the programme’s final pitch event held on October 29, 2026, and will advance to KIC’s Incubation Programme for further business development support.
They are Angban Life, From a Mother’s Kitchen, Pri Fimps Foods, Kebab Masters, Hibitea and Beverages, GreenFalcon Innovations, Feathery Care Ltd, Ecoverse Ltd, Ecofert Ghana Ltd and Hot Drops.
The KIC Programmes Manager, Stanley Amamu, said the challenge was aimed at helping young entrepreneurs turn business ideas into viable ventures that addressed practical needs in the agricultural sector.
He noted that innovation and the creation of business opportunities for young people were important to the transformation of agriculture on the continent.
Funding allocation
Angban Life received $13,000, while From a Mother’s Kitchen was awarded $12,000.
Seven businesses Pri Fimps Foods, Kebab Masters, Hibitea and Beverages, GreenFalcon Innovations, Feathery Care Ltd, Ecoverse Ltd and Ecofert Ghana Ltd received $10,000 each, while Hot Drops received $5,000.
The selection followed a field validation exercise by KIC, which involved verifying the businesses’ claims, assessing their progress and gathering evidence to inform the funding decisions.
Through the incubation programme, the selected businesses are expected to strengthen their business models, improve their market readiness and build commercially viable enterprises.
