Four years after the Presidential Press Corps accident

Members of the immediate past presidential press corps on Tuesday observed the fourth anniversary of the accident in which Ghanaian Times correspondent, Samuel Nuamah died.

They were at the graveside of the late Nuamah at the Osu cemetery to lay flowers.

The journalists also prayed to God to continue to keep the soul of the deceased, and also protect the only child he left behind.

It was a solemn event at the graveside as the journalists, some of whom were victims of the accident, wiped tears from their eyes.

Background

On August 20, 2015, a team of media personnel attached to the presidency, accompanied then-President John Dramani Mahama to Ho where he opened the annual convention of the EP Church.

While returning to Accra, the Ford GMC bus in which they were travelling burst a rear tyre, veered off the road and somersaulted many times before landing in a pool of water in the nearby bush.

Nuamah died on the spot while the other journalists numbering 15 received various degrees of injury.
