When Graphic Online visited the school on Thursday [December 5, 2019] officials of the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons were seen interacting with the students to find out what actually happened to them last Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

Although they would not talk on the record, sources said the officials were there to only investigate the suspected food poisoning after which a report would be filed.

Two of the students who were affected said they had diarrhoea after eating kenkey and fish.

One of the students, Reginald, said he was admitted at the Ridge hospital and later discharged the same day.

The other student, Marie said she took some medicine to stop the diarrhoea.

Meanwhile, the officials from the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons are expected back at the school to continue the investigations.

The GNA reported that the Head of the Adabraka Polyclinic, Dr Abdul Razak Quao said 22 out of the 27 students (14 males and 13 females) brought to the clinic were stabilised and discharged.

He said five others who were also rushed at dawn on Wednesday were also in good condition.

He told the GNA that the signs and symptoms raised suspicions that were in line with food poisoning, as such they run some tests, which further confirmed their suspicions.
