The Asawinso Community Bank PLC has instituted a scholarship scheme to support the children and wards of its shareholders within its catchment areas.

The Board Chairman of the bank, Anokye Asare, disclosed this at the bank’s 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at Sefwi Asawinso on the theme: “Sustainability and Growth.”
Mr Asare said the bank had recorded significant improvements in profitability, financial strength and shareholder value, and described its transformation from a loss-making institution into a profitable and financially strong organisation as one of its notable achievements.
He said the theme of the AGM reflected not only the bank’s recent financial achievements but also its deliberate and sustained efforts to translate its growth into meaningful and lasting value for its stakeholders, customers and the communities it serves.
