Present to hand over the projegts were some top management members of Ghacem, including the Managing Director, Mr Morten Gade; the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Director, Dr George Dawson-Ahmoah; Chairman of the Ghacem Cement Foundation (GCF), Nana Prah Agyensaim VI, and Professor Audrey Gadzekpo, a member of the GCF.

Also present were  Isaac Agbo-Tetteh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Lower Manya Krobo,  Andrews Sodah, the MCE of Yilo Krobo, Mrs. Irina Offei, the Municipal Director of Health of Lower Manya Krobo, and Mr Johnson Tetteh Kwame, the Headmaster of Klo Begoro M/A Primary School.

Handing over the edifice, Nana Prah Agyensaim VI, emphasised that although the Ghacem Cement Foundation existed to assist in putting up health and educational infrastructure in the deprived communities in the country, priority was given to communities close to where the company mined its limestone.

He expressed the  hope that these modern structures in the municipality will motivate children to enrol in school and inspire teachers  to put in their best to ensure quality teaching and learning.

The Managing Director of Ghacem, Morten Gade, said the company would continue to assist more educational institutions in the country, particularly in communities where it operates.

Dr George Dawson-Ahmoah, for his part reiterated Ghacem’s commitment to develop both human and infrastructural capacities particularly of communities where it operates.

Isaac Agbo-Tetteh, on behalf of the two districts, thanked Ghacem for the gesture, which he described as a fulfilment of the company’s pledge to develop the Krobo area.

The clinic, he said, had come at the right time, since maternal and infant mortality rate was on the increase in the municipality.
