Ghacem donates to BOPA College of Arts and Sciences
Ghacem Limited has handed over 1000 bags of cement to support the construction of the BOPA College of Arts and Sciences located at Awutu Bawjiase in the Central Region.

The donation was made under Ghacem Cement Foundation (GCF), a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative set up to provide free cement for educational and health infrastructure in deprived communities in Ghana.
Mr Morten Gade, the Managing Director of Ghacem, handed over the cement to representatives of the Institution at a brief ceremony.
He said building a developed nation required trained, educated and healthy human resource and therefore the GCF would continue to give priority to education and health infrastructure in the country at Awutu Bawjiase.

Mr Gade commended the leadership of the institution for their commitment and resolve to undertake a project that would provide quality training for under-privileged young girls.
“This is an inspiration because it takes a lot of conviction and trust to make it happen,” he said.
Ghacem, he assured, would continue to identify viable projects in health and education and provide the needed support.
He therefore called on all to support the company’s quest to manufacture high quality cement to build the nation.
Rev. Dora-Otema Q. Ayesu, Executive Director, and Mr Solomon Asante, the Project Coordinator, received the cement on behalf of the school.
Rev. Ayesu said the idea of setting up the college was conceived in the early 1990's with the sole aim of complementing government's efforts at alleviating poverty and unemployment among the youth, especially girls, through vocational training in courses such as textile decoration and home economics.
The multi-purpose school block, which began eight years ago, is expected to be partly completed by December 2016 to accommodate the school that has currently been ejected from its rental premises.
Rev. Ayesu thanked Ghacem for the donation, describing it as a timely intervention which would enable part completion of the project for the institution to continue with its activities of giving the girl child quality education.
