Gas tanker accident at Gbawe: Fire service controls leakage situation
A gas tanker was involved in an accident at the Gbawe top base in Greater Accra on Sunday morning and led to leakage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which was in the tanker.
The tanker after the accident fell on its side.

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were called in to control the situation by cooling with foam concentrate to prevent any fire explosion or casualty.
The GNFS urged residents in the area to stay clear of using any open heat source and worked to protect lives and properties.
The gas was transferred into a different tanker.
By midday Sunday, the situation was under control.
