To demonstrate their support for the project, the GAF have decided to relocate its training facilities at the Bundase Training Camp.

A statement signed by the Director of Public Relations of the GAF, Colonel M. Atintande, denied that the Bundase Training Camp land had been seized.

“GAF over the period have been engaged in discussions with the Presidential Committee which oversees the project, the Lands Commission and other stakeholders to enable the realisation of the project,” it said.

The statement said three locations in the Greater Accra, Volta and Central regions had been suggested by the Lands Commission, and the GAF would fully assess those locations and any others that might subsequently be identified and select the most appropriate one for them use.

“GAF reaffirms their role and contribution to national development and restate that they will not stand in the way of the new international airport project.”
