It recalled that Mr Asante together with the late former speaker of Parliament, Mr Peter Ala Adjetey, and others organised a number of GaDangme meetings, “all to ensure that the right headship of the Ga State was put in place.”

“On behalf of all GaDangmes, I convey our condolences to the wife, Mrs Matilda Asante, and family. May his passing encourage us to forge ahead until we achieve his dream and desires as he shared with me on Tuesday, January 16, 2018,” the statement added.

Mr Asante was a renowned Ghanaian diplomat and once secretary to Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
