58 police officers in deprived areas promoted

The Police in a statement published on its social media channels said the promotion is to motivate officers to accept postings to all parts of the country where their services are needed.

It is also in recognition of their hard work and dedication to duty.

"The IGP, Mr James Oppong – Boanuh has stated that officers who work hard will be awarded for their hard work wherever they are serving from," the statement said.

“Officers will not be left to rot in deprived areas. All officers will have to taste city and village life at one time or the other” he said.
