It is to afford the construction industry players the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences. There will also be an exhibition of heavy duty machines and equipment that can support the participants in their various construction works.

According to the Managing Director of ACE Event Management, organisers of the event, Mrs Tracey Nolan-Shaw, the programme, which takes place annually, would also provide participants with innovative ideas on how to facilitate the development of water and sanitation infrastructure and the estate sector. The three-day event will begin on June 22, 2016 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Growth

She said Africa was rapidly urbanising and could lead the world’s urban growth in the near future as captured in a World Bank report published in March this year.

Mrs Shaw further explained that, “We are here to create a two-way flow of information for visitors and participants which will help them analyse their sector needs more precisely and set in place the necessary steps for expansion and improvement in those areas.”

She said her company had been working in Africa since the 1990s, providing vital information channels in various infrastructure sectors.

The MD also acknowledged the significant contribution from some ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) towards the successful organisation of the event over the years.

She commended Interplast Company for being a platinum sponsor of the programme.
