Euroget CEO donates ambulance to Wa Hospital
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Euroget De-Invest, Dr Said Deraz, has presented an ambulance to the Upper West Regional Hospital as a complementary boost for emergency services at the new facility.
The donation was in fulfillment of a personal pledge the chief executive of the Egyptian investment company made during the inauguration of the Wa Regional hospital in August 2019.

The company is currently building nine regional and district hospitals in the country.
Presentation
Dr Deraz presented the ambulance, a Nissan Patrol SUV to the hospital through the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Aboagye Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 2020, in Accra at the company’s head office.

He said the ambulance would complement the government’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19 in the Upper West region and in the country as a whole.
He also used the opportunity to commend all frontline healthcare workers who have dedicated themselves to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Specs
Dr Deraz explained that the Nissan Patrol SUV was designed to specifications on request, and boasts of a ventilator as part of the advanced system it operates on.

He added the ambulance is also fitted with diagnostic equipment that enables some tests to be carried on the patient during transportation, pointing out that it has a system that can monitor and record the vital data of the patient during the transportation process.
Wa relations
Dr Deraz said his outfit developed a strong relationship with the people of Wa, explaining that the company received warm reception from the people of Wa throughout the construction period of the 160-bed Wa Regional Hospital.
The Wa hospital was the first among the list of nine hospitals to be delivered by Euroget. The company also built the Ga East Municipal hospital, which is currently one of the main isolation and treatment centres for COVID-19 cases in the country.
Projects
Dr Deraz said Euroget was working hard to deliver on the remaining projects, including the 500-bed military hospital in Kumasi, and the identical 60-bed district hospitals in Tepa and Nsawkaw.
Commendation
The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Aboagye, who received the ambulance on behalf of the Upper West Region expressed his gratitude for such a support and expressed the hope that the donation will augment government's effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
