Danish Government to provide $15m for skills development
The Danish Government has committed $15 million to support skills development in the country, the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Madam Tove Degnbol, has announced.

She said the amount was a renewal of an earlier $15 million towards both formal and informal skills development in the country.
Madam Degnbol, who was briefing journalists after a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, said, “We have been supporting the skills development fund which provides funding for formal and informal training for the past years with a total of $15 million.”
Good collaboration
The two officials held discussions on a wide range of issues concerning education and the Danish support to the educational sector of Ghana.
Madam Degnbol said over the years the Danish Government had had good collaborations with the Ministry of Education and was hopeful that it would continue.
The ambassador was happy with the collaboration with the government of Ghana, particularly with the Ministry of Education, and said her government would continue the positive collaboration it had with Ghana.
Denmark as good supporter
Dr Prempeh stated that the ambassador and her team were in his office to find out how the two could collaborate and cooperate to enhance the effectiveness of Danish Government support to Ghana.
He said historically, Denmark had been one of the good supporters of Ghana government’s programmes and projects.
