This was due to the absence of the Omanhene, Nana Yaw Gyebi II in court due to ill-health when the case was called on August 23, 2013.

The case of the prosecution was that about nine years ago, on the eve of the New year of 2004, the Bibiani Police received information that a group of people, led by Nana Yaw Gyebi II and armed with guns and other offensive weapons, were demolishing a block of seven stores at Degede, a Bibiani suburb.

The project had reached the lintel level and was being developed by one Richmond Ackah.

When the police got there, they found that the block had been pulled down and they arrested one of the suspects, but Nana Yaw Gyebi II led the other group to storm the Bibiani Police Station and forcibly released him from lawful police custody.

They have all pleaded not guilty and are on GH¢6,000.00 bail each with a surety to be justified.
