Speaking to the Graphic Online, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nana SKB Foundation, Mr Andrews Minkah Gyimah, said since the outbreak of the pandemic, people in the rural areas have not had the benefits of the education on the preventive measures and many were ignorant on what to do.

He said through the support of the Omanhene, the foundation procured some items such as hand sanitizers and antiseptic soaps to distribute to the households and also educate them on the good hygiene and sanitation protocols to be adopted as a way of preventing contracting the disease.

He said even though the communities did not have running waters or veronica buckets, they were taught on how to improvise and make do with what is available to them.

He said the sensitization became important following the rate of infection in the country coupled with the amount of misinformation in the system.
