This is in addition to its mission statement to propagate the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in every part of the world regardless of race, culture, language and gender, bringing people to the knowledge of God in response to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and win souls.

It also provides educational and health equipment to institutions and care for the less-privileged in Africa.

In this respect, the United Kingdom branch of the church has presented food items to inmates of the Amanfrom Prison Camp in the Ashanti Region.

Food items

The items were five bags of rice, three bags of sugar, four bottles of cooking oil and biscuits.

A Co-founder of the church, Pastor (Mrs) Florence Opoku, who was accompanied by the Vice-President of the Women Ministries of the church, Mrs Juliet Thompson, and Associate General Overseer of the church (Ghana), Reverend Edmund Ohemeng Karikari, also gave 45 English Bibles to the prisoners.

Making the presentation, Pastor (Mrs) Opoku said the church was touched to make the presentation to the prisoners because it realised the need to support the less-privileged.

She also said the church preached benevolence so the presentation was a perfect example of its role of supporting the needy.

She advised the prison’s authorities to make good use of the items and pledged the continuous support of the church.

The Chaplain of the Amanfrom Prisons Camp, Assistant Superintendent Prisons (ASP), Mr Osei Kufuor, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the church for its benevolence.

He said the prison had begun an Inmate Building Complex to train prisoners in shoe making, phone repairs, soap making, tailoring and other vocations, and appealed to the general public to come to its aid.
