Chocho to renovate reception of Christian Council

Alhaji Mustapha Oti-BoatengChocho Industries Company Limited, producers of Chocho soap and cream and allied products, including hair shampoo, has adopted the main reception of the Christian Council of Ghana at Osu in Accra to renovate it to international standard to enhance its image.

In addition, the company is to present a cheque for GhȻ10,000 to the advocacy group whose social interventions have helped champion peace and enhanced Ghana’s growing democracy in recent times.

The CEO of Chocho, Alhaji Mustapha Oti-Boateng, an Ahamadiya Muslim by faith, said the move was to demonstrate how Christians and Muslims could co-exist peacefully under our fragile democracy and to show that the two believed in the same God.

The CEO and his team were at the head office of the council last Thursday to present  an unspecified amount of products to be distributed to the 18 churches that operate under the council as part of the celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary.

On its 10th milestone, Chocho has targeted key actors of peace in Ghana, including the Ghana Police Service, by presenting products and certificates to them in appreciation of their works.

Alhaji Oti-Boateng reckoned that the success and growth of the company was as a result of the peace Ghana was enjoying.

To crown its appreciation tour, the company would unveil a multipurpose factory at a yet-to-be-named date to crown the celebration.

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, said no youth should allow himself to be used by any politician for their selfish gains.

He said Ghana was bigger than any political party and it was important that the peace the country was  currently enjoying was jealously guarded.

He commended Chocho for demonstrating true love for God and how different faiths could easily co-exist.
