CEO of Strategic Security System honoured

Mr Francis AkuamoahAn award for excellence and transformational leadership has been given to the chief Executive officer of the strategic security system international Limited,  Mr Francis Akuamoah Boateng.

He took the award in South Africa for “his leadership and entrepreneurship skills in supporting and assisting deprived communities in Ghana”, while his company, 3SiL, received the “Africa Prize for Innovation, Integrity and Development”.

The awards were conferred on him by the International Institute for Governance and Development in South Africa and the Global Centre for Transformational Leadership (GCTL), a non-governmental leadership organisation.

The award came with a certificate of recognition, a citation which espoused the leadership, God-fearing and excellent human relationship credentials of Mr Boateng.

The Chairman of the GCTL, Reverend Godwin Davids, who presented the award,   said the Mr Boateng had distinguished himself as "a leader par excellence and deserving of honours."

He extolled the leadership credentials and successes of Mr Boateng and said the 3SiL had come out with best interventions on Ghana’s quest to fight poverty.

Rev. Davids added that “through his initiatives many deprived communities have received street lights. We are the most honoured to honour him because he has proven that he is a leader whose work impacts positively; not just on the institution he heads, but also on the people around him," Rev. Davids noted.

According to him, the award aimed at recognising individuals whose contribution to the development of the economy had been extremely exceptional.

After the honour, Mr Boateng thanked the GCTL for singling him out of the lot for the award.

“I never thought any company was monitoring what my organisation is doing. Besides, I was only doing what God has called me to do. I, therefore, see this award as a blessing from God,” he said.

Mr Boateng explained that one of the key motivation factors that strengthened him to perform his work was to look for ways to better the lives of the needy and the less privileged in the society.

“I believe we are all called to give a helping hand to those who have needs, particularly basic needs such as water, shelter and light.  If we will all find ways to assist in the development of the country, I believe Ghana will be a better place for everyone,” he said.

He dedicated the award to the management of the 3SiL and commended the bank's staff for assisting him over the years to move the company forward. Mr Boateng pledged to work harder to justify the award.

The Global Center for Transformational Leadership is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and leadership educational institution based in Ghana, offering leadership coaching, mentoring and training.
