Staff of the Bui Power Authority (BPA) participated in the National General Cleaning Exercise declared by the Government under the theme, "Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana after the Floods."
The exercise, held on Friday, July 10, formed part of nationwide efforts to improve environmental sanitation and reduce the risk of flooding through collective action.
BPA staff carried out clean-up activities within the Airport Residential Area in Accra, where the Authority's Head Office is located, as well as across its operational areas and communities within the Bui enclave. Activities included desilting drains, sweeping and clearing streets, removing refuse, and filling potholes to improve sanitation, safety and accessibility.
The exercise was led by the Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam, with the participation of the Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Directors and staff, demonstrating the Authority's commitment to leadership by example, teamwork and environmental stewardship.
"Environmental sanitation is a shared responsibility. At Bui Power Authority, we are proud to support this national exercise and encourage every Ghanaian to play their part in keeping our communities clean," Ing. Sam said.
By participating in the exercise, BPA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote clean, safe and healthy communities.
The Authority remains dedicated to sustaining environmental sanitation efforts within its operational areas and the communities it serves.
