Beneficiary of GCGL’s scholarship for vendors’ children expresses gratitude
A beneficiary of the Graphic Communications Group Limited’s scholarship for vendors’ children, Master Oliver Opoku Mensah, has expressed gratitude to the company for the support.

“I see my dream of becoming an accountant closer than I ever thought, thanks to the Graphic Scholarship Scheme,” he said.
Now a Business student of the St Augustine’s College in Cape Coast, he had qualified for the scholarship because of his mother’s association with the company as a registered vendor.
His father is also a sub-vendor of the company.

The Daily Graphic reported last February that his mother, Ms Rita Kunadu, had expressed gratitude to Graphic for the company’s support to her son.
“I don’t know what to say. Thank you, Graphic,” the paper quoted her, as saying.
The student, who had aggregate 12 in his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), said though without the scholarship his father would have seen him through senior high school anyway, it would have been very difficult for him.
He said he appreciated his father’s work as a vendor because he worked really hard to take care of the family.
Gratitude to father
Master Mensah thanked his father for his support, saying, "He wakes us up to learn and is very concerned about our welfare.”
He said he found working with figures exciting and expressed hope that someday he would help better manage the economy as an accountant.
"Graphic and my parents have done their part. My duty is to study hard to accomplish what I was sent to school to do," he said, and promised to work hard and ensure that his dream of becoming an accountant would come true.
Master Opoku Mensah is one of three children of vendors (who are in senior high school) on Graphic scholarship.
The two others are Bobby Arthur-Williams of the Adisadel College, Cape Coast, and Liza Biney of Methodist Senior High School, Saltpond.
