Ayawaso West MCE presents scholarships to 90 students
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, Mrs Sandra Owusu Ahinkorah today presented scholarships to 90 students.
The presentation was under the District Scholarship Scheme introduced by President Akufo Addo.

In an address, Mrs Ahinkorah who also doubles as the municipal scholarship committee chairperson told recipients to take their studies seriously in order not to lose the scholarship since it is for needy but brilliant students.
She also expressed gratitude to the President for his initiative to decentralise the scholarship scheme to empower MMDCEs and to ensure transparency in the award of scholarships nationwide.
The MCE also disclosed that since the launch of the district awards scheme about 30,000 students have benefited and are pursuing diploma, degree and PhD programmes.
Recipients thanked the MCE and her Assembly for ensuring that many students quota were awarded.
They expressed their preparedness to take their studies seriously and make the assembly proud.
