Auto-mechanic assaults lotto writer
An auto-mechanic, Atsu Adatsi is before an Accra Magistrate’s court for assaulting a lotto writer.

Adatsi was charged on one count of assault when he appeared before the court presided over by Mr James Kojo Botah. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of GH¢1000 with one surety to be provided. Adatsi was,however, able to meet his bail terms.
The facts of the case as presented by Chief Inspector Victor Dosoo were that both Adatsi and Jerry David, a lotto writer are residents of Adabraka.
Prosecutor Dosoo told the court that on May 15 2016, at 9:00 a.m. Adatsi urinated close to David’s window.
According to the prosecutor, when David enquired of Adatsi why he was urinating close to his window; Adatsi became offended and subjected David to severe beatings.
C/ Inspector Dosoo said David suffered injuries on his forehead and left cheek as a result of the beatings he received.
The prosecutor said people around came to the rescue of David, who afterwards reported the assault at the police station
He said David was given a medical form to seek medical attention and Adatsi was subsequently arrested.
