Assemblyman, four others arrested for open defecation

The Assemblymember of the Elmina Electoral Area, Mr Samuel Clearance, was arrested on Thursday for defecating in an unauthorised place.

A task force arrested five persons, including the assembly member, during its rounds at Dentsido, a suburb of Elmina in the Komenda-Edina-Aguafo Abrem Municipality (KEEA) in the Central Region.
The Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr Alex K. Damptey, confirmed the arrest to Class 91.3FM’s Central Regional Correspondent Raymond Kwofie and added that the five persons, including the assembly member, had been handed over to the Elmina police for prosecution.
