Verna Water, a bottled water manufacturer donated the drinks through a representative of the company, Sola Aklamati.
He explained that Verna Water believed festivals were ideal events for preserving culture and tradition.
Therefore, he said, the donation was meant to contribute to the success of the celebration.
Mr Aklamati said the Te Za attracted people from far and near and that made it an event of national cohesion.
He said the mother company of the Verna Water, Twellium Industrial Co. Ltd. would continue to support the Te Za with great zeal to project the country’s culture to astonishing heights.
Asafofia of Ho-Ahoe, Togbe Adase V, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the donors and said it was heartwarming to realise reputable corporate bodies were highly interested in the success of the Te Za.
He said Te Za was an occasion of goodwill, forgiveness, renewal of allegiance to the Agbogbomefia of Asogli, and unity among the people.
Togbe Adase said although Te Za was celebrated by the people of Asogli, the celebration involved all and sundry.
For instance, he said, the celebration would feature a summit of Ewe chiefs from Ghana, Togo and Benin.
This year’s Te Za, which is on the theme: ‘Let’s ensure freedom and justice for all,’ will be climaxed with a grand durbar at the Ho Jubilee Park on October 5.
