Asafora Pentecost chapel inaugurated

A new chapel built by the Asafora Assembly of the Church of Pentecost at the cost of GH¢29,950.00 has been dedicated at Asafora, a farming community near Biriwa in the Central Region.

Giving a brief history of the chapel, the presiding elder of the Anomabo Assembly of the church, Elder Edmond Donkor, said Opanyin Lametey, then head of the Kona Ebusua of Asafora and member of the church but new deceased, released the land for the building and that work on it started in 1988.

Elder Donkor said Pastor Fred Tete Obuobi cut the sod for the commencement of work on the project. He said the Cape Coast Area Head of the Church, Apostle Albert Amoah, assisted by the Anomabo District Pastor of the Church, Rev. Seth Ohemeng Asiamah, laid the foundation stone of the building.

Elder Donkor expressed sincere gratitude to the Mankessim and Cape Coast Area heads of the church, Apostles Mark Obeen Andoh, F. C. Ampiah, S. K. Ofosu and Kwesi Ackah Baidoo, for their immense support towards the construction of the building.

Preaching the sermon on the topic “Bring back the Ark of God” during the dedication ceremony, the Mankessim Area Head of the church, Apostle Andoh, prayed that the chapel would be a place of healing, progress and prosperity for all those who entered it.

The Ebusuapanyin of Asafora,Opanyin Kofi Amanfo, cut the tape for the opening of the chapel and commended the church for undertaking the project to propagate the gospel in the area.
