A delegation from the Church led by Apostle Frederick Yaw Agyemang, Vice President; Apostle Dr. Daniel Kissi Bardoom, General Secretary; Pastor Immanuel Tettey and Pastor William Affum Ani-Agyei, Administrative Manager made the donation.

The items worth more than GH¢30,000, included;

  • Face masks
  • Volumes of hand sanitizers
  • Boxes of hand gloves

  • Boxes of drinking water

Motivation
Presenting the items, Apostle Agyemang noted that the church took the initiative following the constant cry from the Ghana Medical Association concerning the lack of PPEs and related items for health personnel in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the Church recognises the risk the hospital staff are exposed to in the quest to discharge their duty to the public.

Commendation
He commended the efforts of other individuals and organisations helping in diverse ways to curtail the spread of the virus and thereby protect fellow citizens.

He further stated that the church had earlier made a donation to the Ghana Covid-19 Trust Fund, and assured that besides prayers and counselling, the church would continue to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in all other relevant ways.

Gratitude
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Augustine Kwashie, Head of Clinical Care and Coordinator of the Treatment Centre expressed the Hospital's appreciation to the Church and assured that the items would be immediately deployed to the appropriate quarters to achieve the purpose for which they have been presented to the Hospital.
