Justice Dery filed an application for interlocutory injunction at the Kumasi High Court on Tuesday morning seeking to restrain Tiger Eye PI, EIB Group, operators of Ultimate Radio and the Golden Tulip Kumasi City Hotel from going ahead to publicly screen the video in which 34 judges and about 100 judicial staff and police officers were allegedly caught receiving bribes to pervert justice.

Justice Dery is challenging the legality of the video evidence which has formed the basis for investigative proceedings against him and the others.

Anas in collaboration with Ultimate Radio had planned to show the video in Kumasi at the Golden Tulip Hotel on Friday evening but in a statement on Facebook he said “we have just been served with a writ here in Kumasi seeking to injunct us from the Ashanti Regional screening of Ghana In The Eyes Of God.”

"I want to tell the great people of Kumasi that I am terribly sorry for this development. I will urge all of you who have traveled from far and near for this eventful night here In the Garden city to remain calm, we are putting measures in place for another day. Sorry for any inconvenience once more. Let's all join hands in enhancing our democracy. Thank you."

Justice Dery is seeking the following reliefs:

1. A declaration that the intended public screening of the contents of the audio visual recordings to the public by the 1st and 2nd Defendants at the 3rd Defendant’s facility is prejudicial to the Plaintiff’s right to a fair hearing.

2. A declaration that the 1st Defendant obtained the contents of the audio visual recordings unlawfully.
