Otumfiuo Osei Tutu II Sunday climaxed his 15th anniversary as Asantehene with a grand durbar of chiefs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The atmosphere was dominated by rich culture, was on display at the celebration of the Akwasidae Kese to climax the anniversary.
High-profile dignitaries, including international guests, attended the event.
Scores of tourists and international journalists were also at the celebration, as it provided an opportunity for them to taste the rich culture of Asante.
At the anniversary the Golden Stool, known in Asante as Sika Dwa Kofi, was put on display.
More than 5,000 security personnel were deployed to provide security and maintain law and order.
