He said the suspect has since been arraigned before court and remanded to assist with further investigations.

“We had an intelligence that such a person is doing illegal abortion in his residence. So we placed surveillance on him and subsequently on June 6 this year I went there with my men and he was arrested.

“We saw that the tool he uses belongs to the Hospital so we brought him to the station, put him in our custody but as mandated we cannot keep him more than 48 hours so he was put before Court and has been remanded.”

He added that some of the victims are ready to testify in Court against the suspect.
