The project was funded through the Presbytery’s Education Fund aimed at supporting educational development within its catchment area.

The Chairperson of the Presbytery, Rev. George Kwapong, on behalf of the Presbyterian Council and managers of the education fund, handed over the keys to the building to Mr Kwabena Nyamekye, the Akuapem North Municipal Director of Education, at a ceremony on the school’s premises at Mampong-Akuapem.

Receiving the keys, Mr Nyamekye expressed the appreciation of the GES to the Presbytery.

He acknowledged earlier donations of official vehicles and laptops to all the eight heads of SHSs in the presbytery and the Eastern Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools.

The municipal director of education was also delighted to learn that similar bungalows were under construction for all the eight SHSs in the presbytery.

He encouraged the school to maintain the building and appealed to other churches to learn from the Presbyterian Church.

The Headmaster of the school, Rev. Ebenezer Akusaki, thanked the presbytery for the initiative and promised to maintain the building and use it for the purpose for which it was built.

He appealed to other organisations to help the school.

The old bungalow for the school chaplain would be used as a girls’ dormitory annex.
