Gregory Afoko is standing trial for the murder of Upper East Region NPP Chairman, Mr. Adams Mahama, who died following an acid attack outside his home last Thursday.

According to Accra-based Joy FM, two suspects, including Gregory Afoko, have been fingered in the attack.

Mr. Mahama has been buried according to Islamic traditions.

Mr. Mahama’s death has deepened divisions within the NPP, with some calling for Mr. Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong to step down from their posts.
