The generator is a donation by a group of people who teamed up to help the church to get a permanent alternative source of power supply in the event of the light going off in the middle of a church service.

At the site of the generator to bless and dedicate it, the Parish Priest of the church, Very Rev Fr Anthony Richard Opong, explained that the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) at one of its meeting raised the need for the parish to have a stand-by generator.

He said the PPC then appealed for support from parishioners to buy a generator, “And it was in response to the appeal that the Funds Raising Committee, led by its chairperson, Mrs Vivian Adu, took it upon themselves to contact parishioners and non-parishioners to raise funds to buy the generator.”

Very Rev Fr Opong thanked Mrs Adu and the entire fundraising committee for mobilising funds to buy the generator, and expressed the hope that other individuals would take up other challenges in  support of the growth of the church.
