Tamale university holds maiden matriculation, congregation
Speaking at the ceremony, the Principal of TUCT, Naa Professor Arkitekt Abubakr Al-hassan, expressed excitement that all products of TUCT had already secured jobs even before their graduation.
He said the institution which had separate campuses at Dalun, Dungu and Vittin, all locations near Tamale, would add nine new programmes from 2013 to 2015.
He said Bachelor of Science degrees in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Nursing and Renewable Natural Resources as well as Diploma in ICT and Nursing would be introduced in the Dalun Campus.
He said bachelor as well as postgraduate degrees in Architecture and Business Studies would also be introduced at the Dungu and Vittin Campuses.
He mentioned Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Land Economy and Estate Management as some of the programmes that would also be introduced at the Vittin and Dungu campuses.
The Chairman of the Governing Council of TUCT, Professor Walter Sandow Alhassan, urged the graduates to put up their best wherever they found themselves so that they would be worthy ambassadors of the institution.
He said the future image of the college would be determined by their performance at the workplace and in the society at large.
