Marg Hair and Beauty Academy holds graduation

MARG Hair and Beauty Academy has held its fourth graduation ceremony in Accra during which 11 students graduated and received diplomas in cosmetology.

The graduation was on the theme: "Excellent cosmetology education offers unique local and international job service."

The guest of honour at the function was the La Mantse, Nii Tetteh Kpobi Tsuru.

A deputy minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Mrs Benita Okity-Duah, who was the guest speaker, challenged women in the country to work hard to break the glass ceiling that had kept some of them under subordination.

Miss Felicia Sulley was adjudged the overall best student at the graduation.

The proprietor of the Marg Hair and Beauty Academy, Mrs Margaret Sadahem, said her students were taught both theory and practicals to enable them to understand the instructions on the chemicals they use.

She said if not properly applied, some of the chemicals could affect the skin of clients or even cause diseases on their skins.

The students were taken through management of hair and skin and beauty therapy in addition to customer care and proficiency in English Language.
