Kaneshie Sec Tech launches 60th anniversary

The Kaneshie Senior High Technical School (KATECO) will launch programmes and activities lined up to mark its 60th anniversary celebrations on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the British Council Hall, Accra at 10 a.m.

Speaking in an interview ahead of the launch, the Headmistress of the school, Ms Pearl Bruce, said the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, was expected to launch the anniversary to be chaired by Rev. Dr Nii Amo Darko, an old student.

Originally a private school known as the Royal Technical College and later Kaneshie Technical College, the government took over from the proprietor, the late Alfred Kojo Cann in September 1972.

According to Ms Bruce KATECO currently runs courses in General Arts, Visual Arts, Home Economics, the Sciences, Metal Works, Wood Works, Building and Construction.
