Kanekalon High School Drive starts at St Mary’s Senior High School

The Kanekalon High School Drive, an initiative aimed at empowering girls and boost their confidence with insightful career talks and life coaching has visited St. Mary's Senior High School as its first stop.

Organised by Kaneka, a Japanese company that produces synthetic hair fibers, the initiative train will make stops at numerous senior high schools to mentor females, boost their confidence and help them gain skills that would help their future endeavours.

The students were given mentorship and education in public speaking, confidence building techniques, personality branding and entrepreneurial skills.

One of the prominent things that the student learnt was how they could leverage on social media for wealth-making opportunities and becoming a strong brand that attracts global recognition.

A marketing executive of Kaneka told the media that the initiative seeks to inculcate winning and self -advancement skills in girls to enable them to full advantage of their potentials to better their lives and that of society.

According to her, her outfit decided to focus on educational institutions because education was one of the means through which people irrespective of their backgrounds or status get a level playing field to succeed.

However, she said while classroom education was key in the development of individuals, it was equally important for a holistic learning to enable girls to appreciate and build their talents

She said Kaneka was committed to fostering confidence, beauty, and success in the lives of young females to help them harness their potentials in lives.
