GCB Bank donates to GETFund

The GCB Bank PLC has donated GH¢200,000 to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support its educational development initiatives across the country.

The donation, which was part of activities marking Customer Service Week, was presented by the Chief of Staff of the bank, Abraham Ferguson Yahaya and was received by the Deputy Administrator of GETFund, Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa on behalf of the fund.

Mr Yahaya reaffirmed GCB Bank’s commitment to supporting education and national development, stressing the importance of investing in education to build human capital and promote Ghana’s long-term socio-economic progress.

Gratitude

Speaking after receiving the donation on behalf of the Administrator, Paul Adjei, Mr Dandaawa expressed appreciation to the bank for its contribution to the country’s education sector.

He noted that the donation would support the Fund’s ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure and expand opportunities for students nationwide.

Mr Dandaawa also highlighted the importance of partnerships with corporate institutions in complementing public investment in education and improving teaching and learning conditions.

The contribution underscores the role of private-sector organisations in supporting educational development through corporate social responsibility initiatives and collaboration with public institutions.

GETFund supports the provision and improvement of educational infrastructure and related facilities across the country, with partnerships such as this providing additional resources to advance its mandate.
