Gabeulah Network Foundation supports Frankadua D/A JHS

A non-governmental organisation, the Gabeulah Network Foundation, has donated teaching and learning materials and devices to the Frankadua D/A Junior High School in the Eastern Region.

The devices were a photocopy machine, a projector and hundreds of reading books donated to the school to encourage reading habits.

Supporting digital education

Presenting the items to the school, the Operations Manager of the foundation, Salomey Appiah Adjei, said the donation was in line with the foundation's aim to support digital education in rural communities in the country.

"Despite the fact that we are in the digital era, some schools in the rural communities do not have adequate access to information and communication technology devices and tools," she said.

Mrs Adjei indicated that the devices would go a long way to transform how teachers taught and how students also learnt.

The Founder of the Gabeulah Network Foundation, Rev. Gabline Awurama Beulah, in her remarks, added that the foundation was committed to supporting quality education and good health care through its programmes and projects.

She added that the foundation was working to roll out initiatives that would support some rural community schools with computers, printers, projectors, iPads, among other devices, to enhance digital education.

Gratitude

Receiving the items, the Headmaster of the school, Harrison Mompi, said the devices would help the school's administrative work and enhance visual learning.

"The photocopy machine is very important for our worksheets, assessments and assignments, and the projector will help limit the use of the chalkboard while enhancing teaching and learning,” he explained.

He expressed gratitude to the foundation for the kind gesture.
