The GH¢57,000 block was built to replace the old building occupied by 126 kindergarten one and two pupils. The project was started in January, and completed in two months.

Inaugurating the project, a deputy minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ms Rachel Florence Appoh, said it was refreshing to note that teachers and pupils of the school would now be learning in a very conducive environment and pointed out that the government had invested a lot of resources into the education sector.

Ms Appoh, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Gomoa Central Constituency, was hopeful that the new classroom block would be put to good use to enhance teaching and learning and appealed to the authorities of the school to adopt a proper  maintenance culture to prolong the lifespan of the block.

The Gomoa East District Chief Executive, Mr Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah, stated that one of the pillars of the Better Ghana Agenda was to invest in people, adding that the provision of education to Ghanaians would help to train the needed human resources that would contribute to the forward march of the country in future.

He assured the people that the assembly would ensure a speedy execution of the main road network in the town.

Madam Betty Amissah, who represented the Gomoa East District Director of Education, Mrs Grace Adzo Obodai, lauded the assembly for the speedy completion of the project and urged the chiefs and people of the town to ensure that the block was properly maintained.
