Each BECE candidate at Siawkrom D/A JHS in Achiase district, Oforikrom D/A JHS, Akotikrom D/A JHS in Sweduro district and Kofi Nimo D/A JHS in Oda district received a mathematical set and ten packaged oranges.

Giving out the supplies to the beneficiary students on behalf of Eastfield Foundation, farm manager of Eastfield Farms located at Aprade in Achiase district, Sam Dokyi, remarked that the mathematical sets were given to the candidates so that no one would complain of not having one for the exam starting on Monday. The fresh organically produced oranges are to provide the candidates with Vitamin C which is an essential nutrient for their health as they embark on the one-week academic exercise.

Teachers in all the beneficiary schools were not left out as each received ten packaged oranges to boost their strength as they prepare the candidates for the examination.

Both students and staff were elated and appreciative to Eastfield Foundation for the timely resources.

Eastfield Foundation and its partners, Orange Growers Association (OGA), ANKAA Tropical Oranges, Aqua Blue mineral water, among others are making a social impact across schools within their catchment districts and beyond with the successful introduction of Orange Wednesday (One Student, One Orange) and Grow To Consume initiatives aimed at promoting the wellbeing and self-sustaining agricultural and environmental conservation interests of the young ones in building a resilient Ghana.

Eastfield Foundation has called on corporate Ghana to come on board to make it a nationwide intervention.
