This, according to him, will ensure that they pay much attention and help their children attain the best education for a better tomorrow.

The deputy minister stated that “when children get the best education, they become economically empowered after their education and that prevents them from becoming a burden on the family.”

Donation

Dr Adutwum announced this in an address read on his behalf by his Personal Assistant, Mr Emmanuel Ntim, when he presented 400 pairs of sandals to the Bosomtwe District Directorate of Education at a special ceremony at Aputuogya in the Ashanti Region.

The sandals, donated by the deputy minister, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwe, are to be distributed to some needy pupils in schools in the district.

He said there was the need for parents not only to ensure that their children attended school, but stayed there till school closed so they would benefit from what was taught daily.

Dr Adutwum also appealed to parents to provide their children with their basic needs to help them stay and learn in school.

Gratitude

The Bosomtwe District Director of Education, Madam Augustina Konadu-Yiadom, received the gift and praised the MP for his regular support towards the educational sector in the district.

She mentioned the presentation of 45 laptops to the District Education Directorate to be distributed to schools and other support the MP had been giving for the development of education in the district.
