Throughout the year, the company will be donating books to students in some community schools across the country.

The books, which have been approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES), will be used to supplement reading materials for the students so as to improve the quality of education in Ghana.

Sakumono T.M.A Primary and JHS, a community school in Sakumono, was the first to benefit from this gesture. More than 500 books were donated to the pupils in the school two weeks ago. Saks and Abiba, Two Days of Christmas and The Finder were the titles of some of the books the pupils received from CCBCGL.

Mr Xavier Selga, the Managing Director of CCBCGL, who presented the books, expressed the joy and satisfaction the company derived from supporting development in the communities.

“We believe in education and so we are very happy to do this,” he said. “This is one of the many ways we plan on driving development in our communities,” he said.

Mr Isaac Antwi, the Public Affairs and Communication Director, who was also part of CCBCGL team that presented the books, reiterated the company’s passion for developing communities.

“Through this donation, we pledge our continual support for the sustainability of our communities,” he said.

More books will be donated to schools in other communities in the coming months.
