Inducted by Rt Rev. Prof. Osei Sarfo Kantanka, Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Owusu-Daaku succeeds Prof. Emmanuel Frimpong, who has completed his tenure of office.

Speaking at the investiture and induction ceremony, Prof. W. O. Ellis, Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), said Ghana, as a developing country, was faced with a lot of challenges in all sectors and the education sector was no exception.

He said over the years, accessibility to higher education in public institutions had been a great challenge, as a result of lack of modern infrastructure, as well as libraries and ICT facilities, lecture rooms, teaching and learning materials, accommodation and inadequate staff.

He pointed out that many of these problems applied to the private institutions as well, and, therefore, called on the management of the college to ensure team and hard work, commitment and innovative policies to achieve its objectives.

Prof. Frances Owusu-Daaku gave an assurance of her commitment and hard work to enhance quality standards of the college.

She expressed her appreciation to the former president and staff for their commitment and hard work which had maintained standards at the college to the highest level.
