102-Year-old man finally proposed to his 91-year-old girlfriend

Doreen Luckie, 91, and her 102-year-old boyfriend George Kirby will be married in June. At that time, their combined age will be 194 years and 281 days, making them potentially the world's oldest newlyweds, ABC News reports.

The British couple has been together 27 years, according to MSN. They have seven children, 15 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Kirby proposed to Luckie on Valentine's Day of this year after his older children pressured him to propose, he told Daily Mail. "I didn't get down on one knee because I wouldn't have been able to get back up," he said of the proposal, adding, "I suppose it's about time, really. I definitely don't feel my age. Doreen keeps me young."

Representative of Guinness World Records Kristen Ott confirmed to ABC News that until Kirby and Luckie get married, the record for "oldest couple to marry, aggregate age" will remain with Francois Fernandez and Madeline Francineau of Clapiers, France, who were 190 years and 126 days old in total at the time of their 2002 wedding.
